Joe's Truck Convoy...

Updated: Aug 10, 2021

On Sunday 30th May at 2pm, a truck convoy took place in loving memory of a fellow truck enthusiast Joe Robinson. Joe's family and friends organised this parade in memory of Joe, to raise money and awareness for JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) which was very close to Joes heart, to which he donated on a monthly basis.

Dugdale Nutrition got to know Joe well from working at Ribble Valley Commercials. Therefore we showed our support by joining the convoy with seven of our wagons and drivers including; Daniel Brown, Andy Unsworth, Simon Kirk, David Booth, Jack Heywood, Craig Booth and Mark Dobson.

The 67 trucks that took part met at Clitheroe Auction Mart, once set off, they took a right onto the A59, the route then: continued on the A59 to Northcote roundabout, 1st left into Billington, continued through to Whalley, through Whalley centre into Barrow, left at Clitheroe Golf Club, along Whalley Road, up Moor Lane, down Parsons Lane, past Booths, bus interchange, Well Terrace, past Tesco, Homebase and back through the town centre, then up Chatburn Road, finishing at Clitheroe Hospital.

Joe's Truck Convoy has so far raised a whopping £5470 - and still counting!! Donations can still be made via Just Giving: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/joestruckrun?fbclid=IwAR3uSxjeltqjX35vrLm4cEnUZsjqXST47RV_D6TA_ka9N3lzCS-oY3VraFo or you can contact our DN Transport Manager, Daniel Brown via 01200 420200.

On behalf of the DN Team we would like to thank Joe's family and friends for letting us take part in this fantastic event, we hope you enjoyed your day as much as we did!
