Assistant Transport Planner

Job Description
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and control daily transport activities, using advanced route optimisation and planning software to maximize fleet utilisation and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Sales Support and other departments to ensure customer requirements are met and expectations exceeded.
- Ensure all transport activities comply with legal, environmental, and industry standards, including driver hours, WTD, TASSC, and AIC codes of practice.
- Identify and implement opportunities to reduce emissions, improve fuel efficiency, and support the company’s sustainability goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external customers, and third-party hauliers.
- Lead or support transport-related projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver improvements in efficiency, safety, and customer service.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Spend time in each department within Dugdale Nutrition

Main Purpose
- Support day-to-day warehouse operations by efficiently handling stock, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, contributing to the overall performance and success of the business.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Conduct accurate daily stock counts to support effective stock management and compliance with stock rotation procedures.
- Manage goods in/out processes, including the safe loading and unloading of lorries.
- Complete and record daily safety inspections for all operated mobile plant.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels, ensuring correct storage and rotation of raw materials and finished products.

Job Description
Main Purpose
- To support the Commercial Manager in the day-to-day management of traded product pricing and technical queries. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of sales and purchase orders, and the need to liaise with suppliers to guarantee on-time and in-full delivery of goods either to the warehouse or directly to farm.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and technical support to the Commercial Manager and Sales Team, including pricing and product queries.
- Process customer sales orders accurately on the ERP system.
- Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring they are sent to suppliers promptly.
- Liaise with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules and ensure timely and complete deliveries.
- Maintain and update traded product records across relevant business platforms.
- Assist with logging and resolving non-conformances to maintain high customer service standards.

Due to fleet expansion, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Transport Operative to join a leading FMCG/Animal Feed manufacturing business. You will work a continental shift pattern based on 24/7 working, which is 4 x 12 hour shifts days, followed by 4 days off.
Job Description
Main Purpose
- As a Transport Operative you are responsible for the transportation of goods between suppliers and customers. To comply with all rules and regulations involved with driver’s hours, working time directive rules and maintain the company’s high standards regarding customer service. You are not just an HGV driver but also the ‘face of the Business’. This role requires a good level of flexibility as you will be asked to cover holidays, sick leave, and evening deliveries, you will be undertaking bulk blowing, bulk tipping, delivery, and collection of bagged products using rigid and articulated vehicles. To undertake this role, you will not have a permanent vehicle however we try and keep people in the same vehicle for the 4 days on shift.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Undertake Daily Safety Inspections of the vehicle and report any defects following the correct procedure.
- Adhere to Driving Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive at all times.
- Deliver finished product and raw material in the most cost effective way possible.
- Always uphold the company’s image and reputation.
- To help with the company’s carbon footprint by driving in a manner that is safe, legal and optimises fuel efficiency.
- Adhere to Company policy, procedure and legislation including the Company Handbook.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled Production Operative to join a leading Animal Feed manufacturing business. You will work a continental shift pattern based on 24/7 working, which is 4 x 12-hour shifts days/nights on, followed by 4 days off.
Job Description
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Team Leader/Site Manager, your duties will include but not limited to;
- Continuous monitoring of the feed production process using our DSL control system to achieve daily targets.
- Adhere to quality standards in order reach customer quality expectations as dictated by the Quality and Feed Safety system
- Weighments by hand of minerals and additives dictated by each individual formulation.
- Setting of raw material routing for incoming deliveries and recording.
- Filling using the front end loader of raw material bins from storage in the warehouse.
- Loading of finished feed vehicles and completing documentation (bulk out loading).
- Completion of daily tasks to include cleaning and organising of production areas.
- Maintenance and replacement of consumable items associated with the production process such as dies, rollers, screens and beaters along with daily adjustments and lubrication of machines
- Operation of the packaging facilities in our warehouse. These include but not exhaustive bagging into 20kg/25kg bags and into flexible tote bags of finished feed for dispatch.
