To get your silage tested, all you need to do is bring your samples in when you collect your feed or your sales REP can collect it when they visit you. We test all of the samples here at our DN Clitheroe site and you can have your results within the same day!
Your analysis can only be as good as the sample submitted, therefore the sample should be a strong representative of the silage your animals will actually be eating.
What do you need to do?
Take samples across the face of the clamp in a "W" shape to get a fair representative of your silage.
Fill a sample bag over half way and squeeze out any air to make it air-tight.
Label the bag with your name, your farm name and which cut it was from.
If you are bringing in your silage please provide us with an email address then we can send your results to you efficiently!
