On Thursday 3rd August, Dugdale Nutrition continued to proudly support and sponsor Gisburn Auction Mart's 'Dugdale Dairy Day' which takes place on the first Thursday of EVERY month!
It couldn't have fallen on a better day, as Thursday was #FARM24. An annual event run by the Farmers Guardian that encourages British Farmers to take to social media for one day to post pictures and videos to show and pledge their support by explaining the work they're doing that day!
Pre-Sale Show

The dairy show and sale was as exceptional as always with a mix of milk on offer, meaning there was something for all! Thank you to Mr Thomas Herd for judging, strong classes put forward and a swift job done.
Jennings Farmers - Abbeyhouse topped the best PEDIGREE NEW CALVED HEIFER class this week, showcasing a fantastic 30lt heifer by Wilt Emilio that sold for £1880 (pictured below).
2nd Place - KE & Robinson & Son, Kilnhall by Silverridge V Extreme (30lt) Sold for £2600
3rd Place - DE Richardson, Lovelyhall by Ladys-Manir RD Grafeeti (35lt) Sold for £2380
JRG Mason took home the prize for the best NEW CALVED HEIFER in the next class of the day, with a 30lt heifer which fetched £2200 (pictured below).
2nd Place - HJ & KL Blackwell (27lt) Sold for £2520
3rd Place - HJ & KL Blackwell (29lt) Sold for £1920
The prize for the best NEW CALVED COW went to J & B Rowland for their 40lt Holstein second calver which sold for £2400 (pictured below).
2nd Place - G & PS Fleetwood, Hutchinwood - Pedigree Shorthorn 2nd Calver (39lt). Sold for £2500
3rd Place - AH Price & Son, Jackbeck - Pedigree Holstein 3rd Calver (39lt). Sold for £1950
Finally the prize for the best IN CALF HEIFER went to JRG Mason. In calf to sexed Holstein for November which sold for £1580.
2nd Place - J&B Rowland - In calf to sexed Holstein for September. Sold for £1900
