If you are then an excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled Formulations Assistant to join a leading FMCG/Food manufacturing business working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. This is a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months.

Your responsibilities…
​
Reporting to the Formulation and Quality Manager, your duties will include but not limited to;
​
Assist the Formulations Department​​​​​
​
-
On a daily basis, ensure all new, reformulated and existing formulas meet customer requirements and provide quotations for new retail and wholesale business as requested.

Use production & administration platforms to enable the required links with Bestmix, ensuring feed specifications & formulas are consistent throughout the main IT platforms of the business and across both the Clitheroe and Speke sites.

Liaise closely with the Formulation & Technical Managers to ensure feed specifications meet required parameters.

Create, amend and maintain finished product declaration labels, in line with legislative requirements.

Assist Managing Director and Operations Director in managing key wholesale accounts and ensuring requirements are met in a timely manner. Involvement in monthly commercial meeting and distribution of monthly sales figures.

Generation of new retail and wholesale price lists as required.

When required provide cover to aid the retail sales team in analysing forage samples and running monthly Interherd+ reports.

Essential:

Motivated, pro-active, flexible & able to multi-task effectively

Attention to detail and ability to follow through procedures and processes

Highly organised
-
Excellent communication skills, able to work independently but also as part of a team

Good IT skills including MS Outlook & Excel

Knowledge of UK agriculture

Desirable:
-
Some knowledge of ruminant nutrition and/or qualification in Agriculture, Animal Science or similar (not necessarily to degree level)
