The main speaker of the evening was Michael Yates from the Logan herd of Holstein cattle, based in Castle Douglas, South West Scotland. Michael spoke enthusiastically about the changes that have occurred on the farm, including being the first farm in Scotland to install a robot milking system!
It is this enthusiasm that has seen Mr Yates compete and win with his cattle at shows throughout the world and has also seen the farm named runners-up twice in the Gold Cup.
