Dugdale Team Rises to the Born Survivor Challenge

Dugdale Team Rises to the Born Survivor Challenge

A team of dedicated colleagues from Dugdale Nutrition took on one of the UK’s toughest obstacle course races on Saturday 12th September, tackling the Born Survivor challenge in the Ribble Valley while raising money for a worthy cause. The team participated in support of Anthony Davies Childhood Bereavement, helping to raise awareness and funds for children and families affected by bereavement.

The Dugdale team consisted of Hannah Dugdale, Jodie Cruse, Katie Sanderson, Rob Sanderson, Ceri Jones, Garry Cocks, Adam Bufton, David Walmsley, Ollie Parker, Steve Pinder, Angus Ogden, Andy Turner, Georgia Holt and Emma Parkinson, all of whom embraced the challenge with determination, teamwork and plenty of good humour.

Held at Gisburn in the Ribble Valley, Born Survivor is a demanding 12km military-style obstacle course featuring mud, water, climbing challenges and endurance tests designed to push participants beyond their comfort zones. Thousands of competitors took part in this year’s event, creating an atmosphere filled with camaraderie, encouragement and personal achievement.

For the Dugdale team, the event was about much more than crossing the finish line. It provided an opportunity for colleagues from across the business to come together, support one another and raise money for a charity that provides invaluable support to children and young people dealing with the loss of a loved one.

Despite the demanding course conditions, the team worked together to overcome every obstacle put in their path. Their efforts demonstrated many of the qualities that underpin life at Dugdale Nutrition: resilience, determination, teamwork and a willingness to support others when challenges arise.

The event also held particular significance following the recent anniversary of the passing of our much-loved colleague, Daniel Burns. Earlier this month, colleagues across Dugdale Nutrition came together to remember Dan and reflect on the positive impact he had on so many people across the business.

“It was an incredible day and a real team effort. Everyone encouraged each other through the toughest parts of the course, and knowing we were raising money for such an important cause kept us motivated throughout. We’re incredibly grateful for all the support and donations received.” – Hannah

Everyone at Dugdale Nutrition would like to congratulate the team on their fantastic achievement and thank the colleagues, family members and friends who supported them throughout their fundraising journey.

Donations are still welcome via the team’s JustGiving page, with every contribution helping Anthony Davies Childhood Bereavement continue its important work supporting children and families through difficult times.
