Update; The Clitheroe Truck Run for the NHS 🌈

The Clitheroe Truck Run will go ahead on Thursday 23rd April, organised by DN Driver Craig Booth and in conjunction with Lancashire Constabulary and Ribble FM. The convoy will leave Clitheroe Auction at 6.40pm and the route will now include a drive through Whalley and Barrow.

In light of recent videos and photos which have gone viral on social media for all the wrong reasons, we want to make people aware that those taking part in the truck run will be adhering to strict social distancing measures.

Please remember, this is NOT a public event and people should not attend Clitheroe Hospital. If the Truck Run passes your door, you are invited to watch from your doorstep and join in with the clap for the NHS at 8pm. Please ensure social distancing guidelines are followed at all times.

Key workers themselves, the Truck Run drivers will NOT leave the cab of their vehicle once they arrive at Clitheroe Hospital and will do their clap for the NHS from inside of their cab.

The Truck Run has been organised to raise money, show support and try to boost the moral of the local community and all members of the Emergency Services and NHS Staff who are working tirelessly, day to day on the frontline in the fight against Coronavirus.

Thank you to those who have donated so far. The original target of £200 was reached within hours, this was raised to £400 and then again to a final target of £1000. Donations can be made on the Just Giving Page.

Stay safe 🌈💙
