Technical Sales Advisor, Rowan, to volunteer in Nepal...

At the end of the month, Rowan will be walking 96 miles from Milngavie (near Glasgow) to Fort William in order to raise money to volunteer in a rural community in Nepal in August. Whilst walking, she will be carrying all of her kit in a rucksack and camping along the way. In addition to this, Rowan will be litter picking along the entire 96 mile route of the West Highland Way.

Rowan will be travelling to Nepal in August with some NFYFC volunteers to take part in a community improvement program in Katmandu. She will be working alongside local farmers and smallholders, following on from the devastating earthquake in 2015. The project will involve being hands on with both animals and crops, as well as educating locals through as series of workshops. Rowan will be learning all about local farming techniques and will be getting involved with a range of community projects.

If you would like to sponsor Rowan or help her by sharing this post, please visit her Just Giving fundraising page by clicking here. Alternatively, there is a sponsorship form in the DN Customer Collection Warehouse.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish Rowan the very best of luck with her walk and with her trip to Nepal. We are extremely proud to have you as a member of the DN Team.
