Dugdale Nutrition are proud introduce DN19 DUG, a Volvo FM 420, which is a ridged curtain side trailer, coupled with a Palfinger detachable forklift behind.
This vehicle has been with us for 3 years and, since new, she has been driven by one of our day shift drivers, Chris Pope. Chris went straight into a mechanical apprenticeship from school, going on to drive tractors for Ashworth's Contractor's, then to labour for Richard Armer agricultural building for around 3 years, after that, he passed his class 2 wagon test, driving tipper wagons in quarries for 12 months. Chris then joined the DN Transport team 7 years ago!
Chris started out for Dugdale Nutrition as a night loader and bulk delivery driver for 3 years, then going on to drive the 'bag wagon' - "His favourite!". In the past 12 months, Chris also achieved his Class 1 certificate with us.
The pair have travelled far and wide, covering over 216,000km together over the past 3 years and averaging 3,120 tonnes of feed delivered per year! A typical week for Chris and DN19 DUG, consists of: Monday - North East, Tuesday - Yorkshire, Wednesday - Cumbria, Thursday - Cheshire and Friday - Lancashire.
"Chris has been very amenable, often willing to go above and beyond!" - Dan Brown, Transport Manager.
