Bring along a sample of your forage for analysis by the team on the day, using our cutting edge mobile NIR4 testing machine, results can be provided on the spot, and we will also be on hand to discuss winter feeding and what the results are telling you.
Why Sample?
Forage can vary hugely in quality, this season in particular has thrown up a wide range of results so far with difficult growing conditions seen by many in spring affecting forage growth and quality. By analysing forage, it provides a more accurate picture for formulation of diets as we enter the winter period, this allows you to optimise the use of forage to deliver the best results possible and ensure feed efficiency is at its maximum level.
How to take a sample:
The sample should be made up of a series of sub samples taken in a W pattern across the clamp face to give a true representation of the clamp, these should then be mixed together in a clean bucket or container to produce a final sample of around 1kg. Keep this in an airtight bag if possible excluding air as you seal the bag.
