Simply bring your samples in when you collect your feed or your local DN Sales Specialist can collect it when they visit you. We test most of the samples here at our DN Clitheroe site and you can have your results within the same day! For samples sent away we normally have a result back within 48 hours.
It’s important to remember that your analysis can only be as good as the sample submitted, therefore the sample should be a strong representative of the silage your animals will actually be eating.
What do you need to do?
Take samples across the face of the clamp in a "W" shape to get a fair representation of your silage
Mix on a clean surface, ½ the sample, mix again, ½ again and bag the ½ left with
Fill a sample bag over half way and squeeze out any air to make it air-tight
Label the bag with your name, your farm name and which cut it was from
If you are bringing in your silage please provide us with an email address then we can send your results to you efficiently!
