We held our "Improving Rumen Efficiency" meeting in conjunction with FiveF Alka Ltd today, Tuesday 19th February, at Fishes & Peggy Hill Farm in Clitheroe, by kind permission of the Ashworth family.
We had a great turnout to the meeting and after a welcome tea or coffee and a brief introduction from DN Sales Specialist, Colin Price, the guests were split into three groups to visit each station.
On the first station we had DN Technical Manager, Debby Brown, giving a talk about rumen health and efficiency.
On the second station we had Rob Smith, FiveF Alka UK General Manager, giving a talk about forage.
On the third station we had Rob Cockroft, FiveF Alka Field Support Manager, giving a talk about the benefit of alkasystems.
The Striped Pig provided our hungry guests with a superb hog roast to finish off the meeting.
