This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to join a leading Animal Feed manufacturing business.

You will work 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

Main Purpose…
​
The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for the organisation and coordination of all maintenance activities within the company. This includes developing and implementing systems and procedures for the effective and efficient running of the maintenance department and external maintenance providers as well as ensuring that all health and safety regulations are adhered to. You will be required to liaise with other departments within the company to ensure that all maintenance requirements are met.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities…

Coordinate daily maintenance tasks such as repairs and inspections

Investigate any failings found with vehicle maintenance and report back to the transport manager

Oversee maintenance staff and provide necessary training
-
Develop and implement maintenance procedures and ensure implementation
-
Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues
-
Audit external maintenance providers

Plan and manage defect repairs and installation activities
-
Ensure the constant availability of required materials and equipment
-
Track expenses and oversee the budget for maintenance
-
Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
-
Ensure health and safety policies are complied with
-
Update maintenance logs and report on daily activities
-
Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
-
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations
-
Deliver and collect vehicles from service agents
-
Deliver feed to farm if required from time to time
-
Undertake other reasonable duties as required by Senior Management
-
Be Familiar with the Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC) code of practice for making safe deliveries of animal feed on farms.​

Person Specification…
​
-
Must hold a Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
-
Extensive working knowledge of Operator Licencing requirements
-
Knowledge on the DVSA guide to maintain roadworthiness
-
Ability to ask challenging questions of 3rd party service agents
-
Excellent communication skills, both written and Verbal with the ability to engage effectively with a varied audience
-
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a maintenance or engineering role
-
Full UK Driving Licence
-
HGV Licence
-
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
