If you are then an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Night Loader to join a leading Animal Feed manufacturing business, You will work a continental shift pattern based on 24/7 working, which is 4 x 12 hour shifts nights, followed by 4 days off.

Main Purpose...
​
As a night loader you are responsible for the loading of compound feeds, Meals and Blends onto the companies vehicles in the correct order for delivery ensuring you meet the customers requirements, ensuring no cross contamination occurs and correct weights are met both for customers requirements and the vehicles Gross weights, Carry out your duties in line with working time directive rules and maintain the company’s high standards in regard to customer service.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities…
Reporting to the Site/Production Manager, your duties will include but not limited to;

To carry out loading of company bulk delivery vehicles to meet the customer’s requirements.

Ensure all loading instructions are followed and the delivery paperwork is completed to enable the customer to be invoiced correctly.

To comply with and uphold all aspects of the company’s Health & Safety instructions, requirements, and policies.

To always work within the framework and requirements of the Company’s obligations to food safety/traceability standards.

Adhere to Company policy, procedure and legislation including the Company Handbook.

Make sure a retained sample is taken for all products loaded.
-
Undertake other reasonable duties as required by Senior Management.

Understand the rules for loading vehicles as set out by the Trade Assurance Scheme for Combinable Crops (TASSC)
-
To always work within the framework and requirements of the Company’s obligations to the Universal Feed Assurance Scheme (UFAS)
-
Some manual handling and working in confined spaces will be required when moving partition doors etc
-
Be competent and understand driving and manoeuvring large vehicles on site (HGV licence not required as shunter training will be given)
-
Report any vehicle defects found on Samsara promptly
-
To report any unsafe acts or near misses

Person Specification…
​

Be able to work alone and as part of the wider Dugdale Nutrition team
-
Have a good understanding of computers and tablets & IT systems
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to high health & safety standards
-
Have good timekeeping and house keeping
-
Self-motivated and ability to think on your feet
-
Offer a good level of flexibility
-
HGV licence desirable but not essential
