Main Purpose…

​

To supervise a small but dedicated team, to ensure the safe completion of the daily blend production and rolled cereals. As part of this small team, efficiency and commitment to complete daily targets are a priority.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities...

​​​​

• To attend Health and Safety Committee Meeting and Operations and Quality & Feed Safety Meeting if invited by Production manager or Operations director, communicate feedback to team members to ensure issues are communicated.

• Make informed decisions regarding when and who to contact if an issue arises, e.g. Maintenance, Transport Manager, DSL, Duty Manager etc.

• Awareness of Environmental Management System and its implementation.

• Be able to implement the Company’s emergency plan if needed.

• Ensure that you and your team adhere to the companies Health and Safety policy including wearing the correct PPE while on site at all times.

• Training and mentoring of blends plant staff to advance their knowledge.

• To ensure that the manufactured output requirements of Blend orders are met through effective management of the blend production facility using our DSL control system.

• Adhere to quality standards in order reach customer quality expectations as dictated by the Quality and Feed Safety system.

• Weighments by hand of minerals and additives dictated by each individual formulation.

• Oversee incoming Raw Material deliveries and recording.

• To provide rolled materials through the rolling plant and maintain good floor stocks.

• Transferring Raw Materials from blend shed into the bulk intakes using loading shovel.

• Loading of finished feed vehicles and completing documentation.

• Operation of tote bagging plant.

• Completion of daily tasks to include cleaning and organising of production areas.

• Maintenance and replacement of consumable items associated with the Blend production and cereal rolling process along with daily adjustments and lubrication of machines

• Ensure that batch details of Raw materials are recorded using the batch record document.

• To complete the SharePoint report at the start of every shift to communicate the progress of production to other departments, Senior Management and the Board of Directors.

• To provide the Production Manager Information to help fulfil targets set out in the company strategic plan.

Person Specification/Qualifications…

​​

• Experience of production systems and procedures.

• Able to work on own initiative and demonstrate forward planning.

• Problem solving skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to high health, safety and environmental standards.

• Able to demonstrate proficiency in literacy, numeracy and basic computer skills in order to complete daily tasks.

• Punctuality is key to the role being part of such a small team.

• Loading shovel and FLT.
